Dr. Ultan McGuckin BA, B.Dent Sc.

Ultan is our Principal Dental Surgeon. Having graduated with an honours degree from Dublin Dental School in 2000, Ultan worked in London, Wellington, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia before returning to Dublin in 2005. During this time, Ultan gained valuable experience in the workings of other health systems while also taking time to participate in further education in areas as diverse as Endodontics (root canal) and Forensic Dentistry.

On returning to Ireland in 2006, Ultan joined a group practice in Sandyford, before taking over Portmarnock Dental Surgery in 2008. Ultan's gentle manner, caring nature and attention to detail will ensure a pleasant dental experience at all times while also providing quality dental care.

Margaret Glennon Dental Nurse

Margaret is our Senior Dental Nurse.  She trained and worked with Dr Arthur Flynn for over 20 years. From her wealth of experience she provides an important patient liaison and clinical administration role within the practice. She has a friendly, caring personality and fantastic people skills. Her gentle nature and expertise will ensure your visit is a relaxed and positive experience. Margaret is also trained in clinical sterilisation and assists in implementing our infection control and hygiene policies. 

Amie Mc Manus RDN RDH

Amie worked as a Dental Nurse for 5 years whilst concurrently gaining her qualifications from Dublin Dental Hospital. Following her Dental Nursing Diploma she decided to further her career in dentistry in the field of Dental Hygiene. In 2009 Amie qualified from University College Cork as a Dental Hygienist, having received the 'Dentistry Clinical Skills Award' and the 'Pat Jones Award' during her time there.

Amie specialises in prevention and treatment of gum disease. She also has a special interest in Oral Health Education and Dental Hygiene Awareness. Her excellent clinical skills and experience as a hygienist and friendly, caring manner will set you at ease during your visit.
